It seems like we have had so much going on lately that has kept us busy!
Andrew's second tooth finally came in! My mom told the bottom two usually come in very close together. Not the case for Andrew, he waited a whole month in between those two teeth. He looks like such a little boy with his toothy grin now.
We officially have a crawler! I honestly didn't think he would take to it as well as he has, just because he is so much more interested in being on his feet walking around, but he has done great! He started scooting a couple of weeks ago and then all of a sudden was able to pick himself off the ground and actually go somewhere. He has gotten fast now too! Last night I was turning his bath water on, turned around to get him and he was half way down the hall. Naked. Then today I was loading the dishwasher and hear water, he was playing in the dog's water bowl. He is a mess!
Even with his new found freedom of crawling, he hasn't given up his dream of walking. If you let him, he will "walk" around the entire house all day long. I don't let him because I think my back has officially given out on me from being bent over so much. You put him down on his bottom and he is going to find something to pull himself up with (usually it's me). He will cruise around furniture with no fear now, sometimes resulting in fall and bumps on the head. but he handles those pretty well. I think once he gets a little more leg strength and balance he will be all over the place walking!
Last Friday, a precious new baby joined our family! Levi is now a big brother to Maggie James. She is beautiful and has been such a good baby so far. I know most newborns are usually great, but I think at this point Levi was already driving his parents crazy (I don't think he ever slept).
As for a house update, we are finally ready to get work started! I feel like this process has taken forever, but we ended up making a lot of changes to the plans, so things got pushed back. All the paperwork is coming to an end and dirt work is expected to start next week. We were hoping to be in and settled this fall but it's looking like it will be December/January before it's move in ready. I'm just going to enjoy one last holiday season in my first home.
That's all I can think of that has been filling our days lately. For some reason, I like July more than I do June so I'm ready to welcome the last summer month. (I start counting August as my pre-fall month. It's also when I allow myself to start watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music, I like to get in the spirit early.)
